About me
I'm Shiham Ahamed, a SLIIT software engineering student focused on full-stack web apps, backend APIs, cloud-native practice, and polished product interfaces.

Professional summary
I learn fastest when an idea has to become a working product. My projects usually start with a real workflow, then grow into data models, APIs, interface states, and deployment decisions that force me to think like an engineer rather than only a UI builder.
Recently I have been building across e-commerce, property and travel marketplaces, admin dashboards, Docker-based backend practice, and Kubernetes experiments. That mix has helped me connect frontend polish with the backend structure that keeps a product maintainable.
My current direction is clear: become a software engineer who can contribute to practical full-stack systems, communicate tradeoffs, and keep improving through real projects, careful review, and consistent iteration.
Focus areas
Building complete applications with strong frontend experiences and reliable backend systems.
Exploring APIs, authentication, service boundaries, and scalable application structure.
Designing polished interfaces with attention to responsiveness, motion, hierarchy, and clarity.
Using Docker, CI workflows, and Kubernetes experiments to understand how software runs beyond local development.
Education

BSc (Hons) in Information Technology
Specialization in Software Engineering
Expected graduation: 2027
Building academic and practical foundations through coursework, university projects, full-stack portfolio systems, and continuous self-learning.
Certifications
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Completed the AWS SimuLearn: Cloud Practitioner Learning Plan, a foundational program using interactive customer simulations and practical AWS solution-building activities. It covered core AWS services, shared responsibility, security, scalability, pricing, and cloud design principles relevant to building reliable software systems.
Achievements
MiniHackathon 2025 — MS Club of SLIIT
Selected for the final round of MiniHackathon 2025, organized by the MS Club of SLIIT, after progressing through three competitive stages. Our team developed an AI in Healthcare solution exploring how intelligent systems can support early intervention and clinical decision-making. The experience strengthened my teamwork, problem-solving, rapid prototyping, and collaborative development skills.

Journey
Began learning programming fundamentals through coursework and small project-based practice.
Built applications involving frontend UI, backend logic, databases, authentication, and admin workflows.
Expanded into Next.js, MERN, service-oriented design, Docker practice, Kubernetes experiments, and structured APIs.
Currently focused on production-minded portfolio architecture, DevOps workflows, and systems that can scale beyond demos.
How I work
Looking ahead
I'm working toward becoming a software engineer who can contribute to meaningful products, collaborate clearly with teams, and keep improving through real-world development.
